Nereid 640 is an ecofriendly option to chemical dispersants by providing natural flocculation of oil spill from the Gulf of Mexico.

It suspends the Nereid-oil complex in the ocean subsurface to allow marine bacteria to biodegrade the oil. Nereid 640 is a specialty blend of microparticles of minerals which attracts oil to its surface and entraps it within its porous structure to create micro-droplets, thus enabling the remediation of oil spills in an eco-friendly manner compared to chemical dispersants in current use today.
